The aim of this course is to provide understanding of basic Maritime English language through SMCP

Course Outline:
Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:

• use English language as means of communication among the multi-national workforce
• appreciate and understand the contents in IMO Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP)
• use the relevant common phrases in SMCP as working language to enhance operational safety in port
