Travel Safely by boat

Course Aim

This programme is designed to meet the initial onshore safety and emergency response training and assessment requirements for new entrants and all personnel currently travelling and transferring by boat to an offshore oil and gas installation in a warm water tropical environment.

Intended Learning Outcome

The participants will gain a basic level of understanding and an awareness of safety and emergency response on the offshore installation.

Course Terminal Objectives

Upon completion of this training, the participants will be required to demonstrate their skills and the level of knowledge and understanding of the following key areas.

  • Boat travel
  • Boat emergencies

Target Groups

Offshore personnel working in the tropical climate environment.

Course Methodology

This course will be presented in English. Course delivery format will be a combination of lecture/practical and team activities.

Measurement of learning shall be conducted through written tests (knowledge) and practical exercises (skill).

Pre-Requisite

Valid Medical Certificate.
