Entry Requirement:

The participant must: -

• be at least 16 years of age;
• able to speak & write English, as the course is conducted in English

Objective:

Provide the training for candidates in fire prevention and fire fighting onboard ship in accordance with section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-2 of STCW 95.

Course Content:

• Theory of fire and fire prevention principle
• Emergency fire pump
• Emergency escape routes
• Preventing a fire from spreading
• Fire detection system
• Fire safety arrangements
• fire fighting procedures
• Use of breathing apparatus
• Periodic drills

Assessment: Written test will be conducted at the end of the course.

Certificates : Certificates of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
