The maritime industry is an exciting and diverse sector. It is growing at a tremendous pace in the United Arab Emirates. Career opportunities in this sector are abound with world-renowned names such as DP World, Dubai Drydocks World, ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Ports, which are home-grown companies serving the maritime sector.

Ample career opportunities are also available in governmental organizations such as National Transport Authority, Department of Transport, Dubai Maritime City Authority and other public sector organizations that deal in maritime activities across the UAE.

Other development and activities associated with the maritime industry include offshore oil & gas, logistics, marine recreation, marine tourism, ship owning, ship management, ship repair, marine surveys, ship brokering, chartering, etc.

Employers rely on good quality institutions to supply highly skilled and job-ready graduates through quality teaching & learning and industry relevant courses. EIMA, currently the only maritime academy in the UAE, has been established to meet the manpower demand of the maritime industry.
